Food Friday: A Taste of Fillmore

Bun Mee 2015 Fillmore Street

I visit Bun Mee far more than a person should. It might be because I'm going through a serious bahn mi craze (in which case, please, please, please suggest some of your favorite bahn mi spots for me!), or it might be because Bun Mee is just that good. Personally, I think it's a little bit of both. Either way, my go to when I'm in the mood for a spicy something is their combo sandwich. Grilled lemongrass Kurobuta pork, paté de campagne, mortadella, garlic aioli, shaved onion, pickled carrot & daikon, cucumber, jalapenos, cilantro, and a lot of sriracha sauce for that extra kick - it's all just one big party in my mouth. I'm determined to try everything on the menu at least once, but for now, I'm still on my combo craze. Have any of you been? What do you recommend I try next? Whatever's next, I know I'll enjoy it. Bun Mee is located on the very beautiful Fillmore Street, where there's no shortage of beautiful people, eye-catching shops, and of course, fancy foods.

Happy Friday, y'all. This weekend I'm doing a shoot with a local Bay Area photographer, and I can't wait to share some snaps for you. I'll also post about some of the amazing events I've been lucky enough to attend in the past week, so stay tuned. A lot more is headed your way. Have a beautiful day and an even better weekend!

  1. MMm I love viet subs too! Lately I've been having regular subways though since you can find those more easily ;)
