Outside Lands 2014: Day One

pancakeSTACKER Blog x San Francisco Outside Lands Music Festival 2014

Another Outside Lands festival has come to an end, and boy, am I having withdrawals. It's no secret that I am an avid festival-goer. I love the free-spirited feelings, the loud music, the dancing-with-no-inhibitions, and the good, good vibes. There's nothing that music can't heal, so imagine three days of non-stop, back-to-back jams! This year, I was so very excited to partner up with my pals at Chictopia to give followers a look at Outside Lands through the eyes of an true Bay Area native. From the fashion and art to the music and food, I tried to capture it all for my Instagram-takeover. If you didn't catch all my snaps on Instagram, fear not - I've got dayssss worth of posts to catch you up, starting with this one.

On day one of the fest, I got there a little later in the evening. I was still able to catch the sunset to Chromeo, Disclosure and Yeezy. Talk about ending the night on a bang. I missed Chromeo when they were at Coachella, so it was such a treat to be able to see them in my own city. This was my third time seeing Disclosure (saw them at Treasure Island last year and Coachella this year), but they were still spectacular. Ended the evening with Kanye - his show was a bit underwhelming (sorry, have to be honest here!), but I'm glad I was able to catch his set. There were definitely some highlights coming out of his performance, but overall, I wish there had been more stage work!

Now, more about my collab with Chictopia! My takeover with the brand was actually on day two of the fest (stay tuned for those snaps, hitting your screens tomorrow!), but all throughout the festival I handed out Chictopia goodies to stylish folks and those tagging their festival 'fits with #CHICTOPIAxOSL. This was my second #ChictopiaConnect project with Chictopia (you might remember our first partnership with MeUndies). Chictopia Connect is such a fab way for content creators and brands to get together and make magic. If you haven't already, sign up for Chictopia and get to sharing your stylish OOTD's!

Big thank you to Chictopia for sponsoring this post and my second day at the festival!
