And My Heart is Set on You.

Top and brown braided bracelet: Forever 21; Necklace and white braided bracelet: Nordstrom; Skirt: A&F;  Vest: Old; Sandals: Nine West

Angus and Julia Stone - You're The One I Want (Cover)

You've seen this top before. But, like every other normal gal out there, I like to get a lot of wear out of my items. In fact, this white skirt is something I've recently rediscovered. Will you laugh when I tell you I bought maybe five years ago? I think it's probably time that I do a closet inventory and get rid of some things I've been holding on to since the 7th grade. Yes, I do still have clothes from the 7th grade, and yes, some of those things still actually fit me. Take this vest for example. I remember getting it (from my mom's closet) even before the 7th grade. Of course, at the time I got it, it was far too big for me. Unable to let go of it, I held on to the vest until I could finally wear it with something. 10+ years later and voila! I've got a unique little vest that fits in perfectly with the rest of my closet. But, of course, not everything in my closet can be from the 90's. That's where the sandals come in. I got these beauties from Nine West a few weeks ago, and they are just the comfiest things ever. My Nine West shoe collection has grown exponentially (I seriously got FIVE pairs from them in the last month), and you'll be seeing a lot more of those goodies in some upcoming outfit posts. These wedges are next on my Nine West wish list! Wisdom Wednesday will be back next week, but as always, feel free to share what you have down below!

pancakeREVIEW: mark.

A sneak peek of what's to come.
It wasn't until this year that I really got into experimenting with make-up. In fact, this year alone, I've already tried at least four to five different brands, which for me, is a lot. And just to give you some perspective, on a day to day basis, I wear eye liner, mascara, some neutral eye shadow, and lip gloss -- add a little bit of lip tint and maybe some blush if I'm feeling up for it. Two weeks ago, I got my make-up done by my friend (and super talented make-up artist) and was instantly inspired to change things up. So, when Nicole from Avon's mark. make-up line asked me if I was interested in trying out some of their products, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get out of my comfort zone.

Wisdom Wednesday

"I feel very adventurous. There are so many doors to be opened, and I'm not afraid to look behind them." -- Elizabeth Taylor

"Sheer Perfection" Look book, Planet Blue

It's been a long time coming, hasn't it, blogger buddies? I can't even tell you how many times I've wanted to crank out a post or two for you this week and last, but alas, sometimes time gets the better of us. As you know, last week I started my new job, so I've had to be much better about my time management. When you're waking up before the sun comes up and going to sleep before the hour hits the double digit mark (yes, that means my old grandma self goes to bed at 9:00 PM), finding time to update becomes increasingly harder. But, for me, writing has always been a form of release, and blogging has been both a much needed creative outlet and stress reliever. So, I hope you will all be patient with me these next few weeks, while I sort out my new schedule and adjust to a few changes.

Now, back to the point of this post. As you know, these last few weeks have been filled with a lot of change. And for me, change is very exciting. I strongly believe you don't experience growth (in any way, shape, or form), if things remain stagnant. If there are no challenges, there are no rewards. I am at a stage in my life where there are nothing but doors to open. Everything is brand new and it just feels like a world full of beginnings. And you know my philosophy about doors to be opened: simply put, I open them. A lot of this can be accredited to my inner curious cat, but even more can be attributed to my belief that in the end, I never want to look back and ask myself, "What if..." So, today's wisdom (albeit, very late in the day) is a reminder that within us all, there is an adventurer eager to make discoveries. In fact, let him or her run wild. Never let your fears weaken you, which is something my mom likes to tell me when I doubt myself. Because worst case scenario, if you don't like what is behind the door, just close it and open another one. Happy Wednesday, everyone!

P.S.  Don't think that I've forgotten -- the winner of the Generation Love giveaway will be announced shortly :)

Don't forget to share your wisdom with me down below!

And I Run To The Things They Say Could Restore Me, Restore Life The Way It Should Be

Dress, feathers, and ring: Forever 21; Vest: Love Culture (but do check out this cute vest) ; Hat: Nordstrom (similar one here)

Young and the Giant - Cough Syrup

Just a quick little post to get the week started. Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! This has been my go-to outfit lately. I think I've already worn this dress on three separate occasions. Yes, I am very much an outfit repeater, especially when I find something comfortable! I will say, however, that on each occasion, I have worn it very differently. Sometimes I would just wear the dress and the brown wedges (as shown above) and other days I would wear it with bright orange flats and a cardigan. Now that I think of it, I actually bought this dress my senior year of high school! So, that means I have actually worn this dress left and right. And why do I wear it so much? Well, besides being super comfy, it's fairly lightweight in fabric, which is perfect for warm days. Without hesitation, if it's hot out, this is almost always the first dress I reach for. Alright, I realize that this has to be the most boring outfit post you've seen from me. My apologies for that, but I can guarantee you that there will be a whole lotta goodies coming your way this week and next!

Don't forget: My Generation Love Giveaway is still going on, so ENTER, if you haven't already!!

Tangerine Dream

Top: H&M; Skirt: American Apparel; Shoes: Nine West; Necklace & Rings: Forever 21

I was inspired by many of my favorite bloggers to recreate a colorful and effortless summer look. I purchased this nude colored chiffon maxi skirt from American Apparel and couldn't be happier with it. As you all know, I'm obsessed with maxis (dresses and skirts alike), so I knew that incorporating a neutral color to my closet would be a wise decision. This is a skirt that I look forward to wearing for the rest of the summer,  and I can't wait to see how I transform it for the Fall. I purchased the brightly colored H&M top fairly recently for only $10! The first time I wore it out, I got complemented by just about everyone around me, which only made me love the top even more. The shoes, from Nine West, have to be one of the most unique pairs I own. I love everything from the soft suede material to the pale taupe color. Oh, and did I mention I got these babies for half off? Yeah. Below are three beautiful bloggers who basically put my look to shame, haha, but really, they are all stunning, so definitely check them out!

Liz from Late Afternoon in Zara; Taylor from Sterling Style in Hallelu; Dylana from Nana in Wonderland in Hallelu and H&M

And, for those of you who are looking for your own perfect maxi, take a look at some of my picks below. Jill Sander's cotton candy pink and snow white striped maxi is one of my absolute favorites. At a whopping $1709 (also known as a full month's worth of rent for a one bedroom in San Francisco, haha), I think it will just have to remain on my wish list. Mod Cloth's beautiful pleated chiffon maxi is both practical in terms of price-point and wear. Lastly, PacSun's Kirra Maxi is an absolute steal at under $20, so you'd be super silly to pass it up!

So, there you have it! My outfit, my inspiration, and my picks for you! How did you guys like this post? Is there a trend or outfit you would like me to recreate? I'm thinking of doing more of these types of posts in the future. Haven't figured out what to call it just yet, so I'm open to some clever suggestions (Trendy Thursday, maybe?). On that note, I would absolutely love it if you guys would send me some of your own looks too! Have an awesome Friday and an even more amazing weekend. I start my new job on Monday, so I'll be a Nervous Nelly alllll weekend long. P.S -- Don't forget to enter my Generation Love Giveaway!!

pancakeLEFTOVERS: June

Happy Fourth of July to all of my fellow blogger buddies in the states! I can't believe it's already July. I swear this year is moving faster than a speeding train. It's almost been one whole year since I've started this blog (next month is the big anniversary!), and I can't even fathom how much both my blog and I have grown since my first post. I mean, even thinking about how much has changed in the last month is a bit mind-boggling! First off, I would like to announce that I will be starting a new job in a week! It is a very, very exciting time for me, but I am also really nervous (as to be expected).  I can't even begin to explain the long journey it took to get to this point in my life, but I would like to thank everyone who has been super supportive of me and my decisions every step of the way. I couldn't be happier, and I am just so grateful for all the amazing blessings in my life. I am looking forward to everything that this new month has in store. I know that there will be a lot of challenges, but I also know that there will be a lot of growth. July, I am ready for you, with open arms and an open mind. So, true to pancakeSTACKER tradition, let's kick off the new month by looking back at some of my favorite June moments, with a hearty serving of pancakeLEFTOVERS.

Stole this one from Kathleen :)

Nutella + Mango, Strawberry & Banana Crepe from Genki!
After Burma SuperStar, Christina & I went to Genki, where I indulged in a crepe that made me very happy. Can you tell?

Enjoy today's double post! Just a little sweet treat for all of my amazing followers!

Food Friday: Burma SuperStar (That Is What You Are)

Burma SuperStar 309 Clement Street San Francisco, CA 94118

Last week, I had the pleasure of dining out with my friend, and native San Franciscan, Christina. We had been planning a foodie date for a long, long time, so I was very glad when our schedules coordinated and we decided to eat at Burma SuperStar.
