The Perfect Tunic Top

pancakeSTACKER blog x J.Jill

Remember that J.Jill event I went to? Well, I couldn't leave it without grabbing this top. It's the perfect companion for a spring day - sheer, flowy, and detailed to perfection. I see myself wearing this one styled up (actually snapped these photos whilst on my lunch break at work!) or with a pair of denim shorts and sandals for a festival, perhaps? (Coachella Gods, can you hear me?). What I love most about the shirt is the detail - the embroidery is beautiful. Convinced this top would look flattering on everyone!

Food Friday: Chambers Eat + Drink

Chambers Eat + Drink 601 Eddy Street
pancakeSTACKER blog x MAC Cosmetics x #MACrockscolour

Aww yeah, you know what time it is. Food Friday, y'all! This week, we're talking about my favorite meal time of the day - brunch! When I think of brunch, I inherently think of runny eggs, mouthwatering bacon and copious amounts of refreshing o.j. - or mimosas...or bloody mary's... whatever it is that floats your beverage boat. This Food Friday post is kind of different than the norm, in the sense that I didn't visit chambers solely for the food. I am super excited to "officially" announce that I have teamed up with MAC Cosmetics and will be sharing a few beauty-related snippets with you all here and there! The MAC team was so gracious and took us out to Chambers before we toured the new flagship MAC Pro Store later that day. We'll get into more about the new store and the details of my partnership in an upcoming post, but for now on to the food!

J.Jill Inspired Style Corte Madera Event

J.Jill 1610 Redwood Highway Corte Madera, CA 94925
pancakeSTACKER blog x J.Jill Corte Madera

Earlier this month, I was invited to take a peek at the new J.Jill Inspired Style store at The Village at Corte Madera in Marin. It's not often that I travel outside the city for an event, but I was really excited to take a look at a store that was a bit different than my usual go-to's here in the city. I have to be honest - before this day, I had never walked into a J.Jill store. I was familiar with the store, but I was always under the impression that it was for an older demographic. But, as you know, I am always open to trying out new places, in hopes that I'll learn more about a store's clothing and story, and hopefully, find something that's just right for me. So, when I was invited to preview the new Inspired store line, I couldn't pass up the offer to visit.

pancakeSTACKER: The Redesign Pt.1

pancakeSTACKER blog

There aren't very many moments in life in which I go around wearing a cupcake-sized tutu around the neighborhood just for the hell of it. So you better believe that when I DO do it, I'm gonna do it right.

Red Orange

pancakeSTACKER blog x Sugarlips Dress x HM Jacket
I've found that a favorite dress type of mine that fits my body frame quite flatteringly is one that flows freely and can best be described as a shift-dress of sorts. This particular dress mimics that of a separate top and bottom duo, but in fact, just flows together as one. Definitely one of my favorite little details about it! I've had it in my closet for at least a year and a half (sorry guys - if you love it, you can't shop it as it's no longer online, but you can definitely find something similar), but I find myself grabbing for it anytime the sun is shining, or if I just want to dress up without having to really put much effort into it. I like to think that this dress does most of the work for me.

Brown Brick

pancakeSTACKER blog x Aeropostale Boyfriend Jeans x Coach Bag
Boyfriend jeans are my jam. Distressed boyfriend jeans are my jelly. I picked up these cozy and comfy ones from Aeropostale not too long ago, for a cool $20. How can you even beat that? I've told you guys once and I'll tell you again - though stores may not be for my "target demographic," I still love to give them a try. When a pair of jeans fits you right, there's no denying it, and I always find a steal when I walk into Aeropostale. Now that their new spring items are in-stores, I can't wait to head back and find another sweat deal. I'll keep you guys posted on what I find next!

Beauty Bites: Clarins Spring 2014: Opalescence

Hello my lovelies! So, I know I usually do Food Fridays, but I thought today I'd mix it up and share my new series with you - Beauty Bites! (That's kind of foodie related...right?) As you may know, I've wanted to incorporate more beauty into my blog routine for some time now, but haven't gotten a chance to really do so until now. Aside from my love of makeup and my constant curiosities with trying new products, a main and driving force behind my sudden urge to kick my beauty posts into gear is my job. I won't go into the details of where I work or what I do (as I believe in keeping the personal things personal and private), but I will say that I work for a beauty startup and am surrounded by makeup all day, everyday. Because I've been able to try out so many wonderful products fairly regularly (either through work or events), I wanted to share my finds with all of you!

The Unexpected

pancakeSTACKER blog x Brandy Melville Maxi Dress x Crash and Burn Top x Forever 21 Flats x Jigsaw London Wool Hat

Funny story about these photos... Jenny and I got together to do our first "official" shoot together and the weather was beyond perfect. The sun was shining and I was so happy to walk around my neighborhood and wear some summer-esque clothing. We decided to take a stroll to SF's Palace of Fine Arts (must-visit, if you find yourself in the city on a beautiful day). It was the perfect atmosphere to shoot - the lighting was nice, not too many people, and inspiration everywhere. As soon as we settled on a place to start shooting and Jenny takes out her camera, another photographer stops us and starts shooting me! He ended up taking some gorgeous shots and shared some great pointers to both myself and Jenny. Funny thing was - Jenny took most of the shots above while he was shooting me! I love how they came out. How wonderful photos can be when the unexpected occurs, right?

Brick City

pancakeSTACKER blog x Restricted Shoes x LuLus.com Chambray x Brandy Melville Harem Pants x Nordstrom Tweed Jacket

I've been living (livinggg) in these loafers since I got them. At first, I wasn't sure if I could do them justice, but as soon as I took them out of the box and put them on my feet I started putting together outfits I had never considered before. They're the perfect pair for just about anything - harem pants (such as the ones I'm wearing above), a pair of jeans, or some cutoffs. Needless to say, you'll be seeing a lot of these babies in posts to come. Don't say I didn't warn ya!

Food Friday: The Mill

The Mill 736 Divisidero Street
pancakeSTACKER blog x Food Friday x The Mill

Alright you guys - I'm going to ask for a "free pass" today. After reading this post, you'll know why. I just did the most hipster thing I could have ever done. I spent $4.00 on toast. Yes, you read that right. I spent $4.00 on TOAST. Normally, you'd spend $4.00 (if that - let's be real here) on a loaf of bread... on TWO loaves of bread. But it happened and I am slightly ashamed. Like who am I? I don't even know anymore. Was it even worth it? You'll have to read through this post to find out.

pancakeLEFTOVERS: February

February is my favorite month ever. Not only do I adore a month dedicated to love (heyyo Valentine's Day!), but I've always found the short month to be when things really start picking up. I felt more myself and really started to recharge and reevaluate. So, without further ado, scroll down and take a look at a few of the moments that made February extra sticky sweet and special.

Travel To... Napa Valley's Bardessono Hotel

Bardessono Hotel 6526 Yount Street Yountville, CA 94599
pancakeSTACKER blog x Bardessono Hotel Napa Yountville
Close your eyes and imagine the most tranquil surroundings you can think of. The sun is warming your skin, the air is crisp with a calm, calm breeze, and the sounds all around you stop - if just for a moment - as you take in another breath. This captures just a snippet of my blissful Sunday with Napa Valley's Bardessono Hotel.

Purple Yellow Red and Blue

pancakeSTACKER blog x Jigsaw London Hat x Nine West Boots x Aeropostale Jacket

Do you guys listen to Portugal. The Man? If not, doitnow. Stumbled upon this wall in the city and knew it was the perfect backdrop. In fact, don't be surprised if you see it again. I've been exploring more areas and have been so fascinated with so many of the little pockets I haven't seen before.
