Somewhere in Between

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Paisley Shift Dress

It's here. The last day of the year. Can you believe it? I can't. Somehow the end of the year just crept up - seems to happen every year, though, doesn't it? It's been a long journey for this blog. Four years, you guys!

This year, pancakeSTACKER got a little revamp, I got a haircut, I got to do some pretty cool things with some brands that I've always wanted to work with (hello, Nordys!), hosted some hilariously fun fitness classes (zumba and bollywood dancing!), got some sick shout outs from some cool people (thank you, thank you Teen Vogue and Refinery 29!), danced a little (okay, a lot), did a couple of videos, gave a couple of talks (Girl Scouts and FIDM), and generally just had a fantastic, beautiful, fun, and amazing year. And now, here we are. Somewhere in between the year that was and the year that will be...

New Year's Eve Beauty with MAC Cosmetics

pancakeSTACKER Blog x MAC Cosmetics x NYE Look

New Year's Eve is right around the corner, and I don't know about you guys, but that's pretty hard for me to wrap my mind around! I have always been a last-minute-kinda-gal when it comes to the holiday. The dress, hair and makeup - those are the easy parts. The plans? Well, that's always been the kicker. And this year isn't any different. I may not know what I'm doing just yet (will I be dancing all night long with my gal pals, enjoying a night in with my besties, or something more?), but I at least know that I'll be looking my best, all thanks to my pals at MAC.

Balle Balle!

pancakeSTACKER blog x Athleta

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of hosting another fitness event with Athleta on Fillmore. I was so excited to try out a new class (Masala Bhangra!) and was very happy that SF put the rain on pause. It was my first time trying Bollywood-style dancing and I was seriously looking forward to learning some moves that I could bust out in the future. The class was incredibly fun, a great workout and I can't wait to try it again. We had a great crowd - even some guys made it to class, which was awesome. Thanks so much to everyone who made it out - I know it was a really early wake up call for a Saturday, but I truly appreciated it. And of course, thanks to Athleta for letting me host. Next up? Maybe a hip hop class? What say you?

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Lucy Paris

All about those winter whites, what did I tell you? More importantly, I'm all about that Lucy Paris label. I cannot tell you how much I love this brand. When you find something that fits and fits well, you just keep on keepin' on with it, am I right? This little lady is pretty stoked that it's December because that means holiday season is in full swing, which means sale season is just yonder (these two pieces are already on sale for Cyber Monday!), which means more Lucy Paris for moi. But really, I wouldn't mind stocking up on more skirts and crop tops for my closet. I've also been experimenting more with my lippies this season, and thanks to my gal pal, Donna, I've got the perfect plum pout. Watch out, boys. This color from Bare Minerals is basically my favorite statement-making shade of the season. Do you guys have any lip color recs or labels your currently loving? Send 'em my way, por favor.

Food Friday: Souvla

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Food Friday x Souvla Hayes Valley

Thanksgiving just happened, but you're still thinking about brunch, right? Don't worry - I get it, y'all. Lucky for you, I'm on that same wavelength, so I present to you my latest pick for your weekend nomz. A little while back, I was lucky enough to preview Souvla's new brunch menu. I first discovered Hayes Valley's best-kept hidden gem, after trying them out, here. Ever since that day, I knew I was only touching the tip of the iceberg. Then, earlier last month, our paths crossed once again, after I went on a walking Instagram food tour with some instafamous foodie friends (yes, I just used "instafamous" - please cringe with me and continue reading). And then, our paths crossed one more time, when I was invited back to taste their delicious new brunch menu.

Winter Whites with Nordstrom Rack

Who would have thought that the holiday season would get here so quickly? I swear one minute we were in Indian summer mode and now all of a sudden here we are preparing for the winter. However, I will say that one thing I love about this time of year is how cozy everything gets. Chunky knits, wool coats, fuzzy sweaters and scarves -- all things I very much look forward to snuggling up in. I have to admit that I do the summer far better than I do the winter, but thanks to Nordstrom Rack, I was able to stock up on some cold-weather essentials without breaking the bank.

Lucy Paris

pancakeSTACKER Blog x JOA Skirt x LeTote

These days, my new favorite brand is Lucy Paris. When searching for some new 'fits for the office, I stumbled upon the brand after what felt like hourssss of shopping. After store after store of misses, I stopped into Bloomies (it was my last stop of the day) and tried on a couple tops and midi skirts and fell in love with the brand. Not only did the clothes fit me just right, but the price point was also right within my budget. I ended up walking out with a couple of new tops and skirts, and every now and then, I like to poke around the department for other gems to add to my closet.

Black and white, Striped Delight

pancakeSTACKER Blog x LeTote x 7FAM Jeans

Black and white, striped delight. That's what I'm calling this one. By now, everyone who works with me has seen me wear this outfit (or a variation of it) about fifty million times. But, what can I say? I like what I like. A classic, black and white, striped button-up - what's not to like? And, you can already guess where I got this beauty - LeTote. Pretty obsessed, I'd say. After realizing that a majority of my jeans were distressed and on the casual side, I decided to pick up the perfect dark wash from 7 For All Mankind. I love this pair because it hugs my curves, fits comfortably and works for the office and date night. Add the button up and jeans with a standard tote and heels and you've got yourself the perfect day to night ensemble.

Shear(ling) Genuis

pancakeSTACKER Blog x LeTote x Shearling x Modern Vice
It's starting to feel like fall around here and part of me doesn't mind it. I mean, when you get to wear comfy coats and shearling jackets (like this one!) how can you be mad? I've been wearing this combo non-stop - black pants, comfy booties and this plaid top (which you've seen before). But, now that it's getting chilly, I've added a new layer - this delicious chocolate brown, hooded shearling jacket.

Fiery Red

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Sanctuary Jacket x Stila Stay All Day

I'd love to lie and say this post is about my outfit, but the true star of the show is my new pout. Sephora was having a friends and family sale and you better believe I hopped on that train. Refilled on my staples (a beauty post on that soon) and thought it was the perfect time to try a new lipstick. So, I grabbed this new color (in "fiery") and now every time I wear it, I feel like it does all the talking. So, while I'd love to sit here and tell you that my new harem pants and striped jacket are my favorite parts of this outfit, the truth is, it's the lipstick.

Video: 30 Seconds with LeTote

And because my love for LeTote hath no end, how about another video? Here's a quick one where I styled a couple more of their pieces. This plaid button up now lives in my closet because I couldn't dare send it back. I'm sure by the time the year ends, half my closet will be filled with goodies I couldn't resist scooping up. Happy Friday, friends!

Blue Angel

pancakeSTACKER Blog x LeTote x JOA Dress
Fleet Week is without a doubt my favorite time of the year in San Francisco. I feel like the whole city waits for the sailors to come in town, rooftop soirees, and a whole weekend of nonstop BBQ's and sunshine. I took advantage of the warmth (hellooo 80 degrees!) and dressed in my best Blue Angels attire - this little number via LeTote. Thank goodness for LeTote, too. I was running out of clothes (laundry is my most hated chore) and wasn't sure if I'd have time to do a couple loads before go time. Luckily, my latest LeTote arrived just in time to provide me with this stunner. Now the inner debate on whether to send this piece back or keep it in my closet. Oh, LeTote - always tempting me.

The Perfect Honey Brown Highlights by Sassoon Salon

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Sassoon Salon Highlights by Nathan Booth
After I cut my hair back in April, I decided that I also wanted to lighten it. I've never completely never dyed my hair, so highlights have always been my only option. After getting my hair highlighted by Sassoon Salon's color specialist, Nathan Booth in July, I decided to head back in and get my hair done one more time in August. What came about was the perfect honey brown color I was looking for. (You can see it even more so in this set of photos.) I had a chance to ask Nathan a few questions about achieving the perfect shade for every hair color. Click to read more!

Crazy for Crop Tops

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Brandy Melville x Aeropostale

I know. Looks familiar, doesn't it? That's because it's a combo I can't get enough of - jean jackets and crop tops in shades of blue. Call me a repeat offender. Go on. I deserve the title. When it's warm out, but the wind kicks in, I prefer a loose crop top, oversized denim jacket, and easy to wear pants. Mules? Yeah, they work, too. All about playing with proportions, I guess.

When Life Hands You Lemons

pancakeSTACKER Blog x JOA Midi Skirt

I owe y'all a post (or two, or three). Do accept my apologies for being a bit of a slow poke around here. Last month was busy with new ventures and the beginning of this month slowed down as I somehow caught a bit of a bug. Luckily, I snapped a few outfit photos (albeit on my trustly iPhone) before I spent some time sick in bed. But you know what? When life hands you lemons, you wear that sh*t. Thankfully, LeTote prepared me for the occasion with this bright yellow JOA midi. Wore this out to a tasting dinner with ZICO for their new juices - more on that later. Paired the bright hue with an old closet fave, this ombre button-up from Crash & Burn. And believe it or not, made it through an eight hour+ day in my trust Zara heels. What a woman can't do in the right pair of shoes. Am I right?

Shorter Lengths

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Aeropostale

Hi, guys! Sorry I've been a little radio silent on the blog this last week - I've been a tad bit busy and haven't been able to sit down and crank out some thoughtful posts. Luckily, I'm still sharing all my daily adventures with you on Insta, so you know where to find me for your daily, fresh stack.  I've been on a maxi and midi skirt kick, so much so that I almost never wear shorter-length skirts. So this, my friends, is a rare occurrence. I actually picked this skirt up way back when in July when I was in Fourth & fireworks mode, but never got around to wearing it. I pulled it out one day and while I love the detail, I'm still much more into those longer lengths. But hey, sometimes going outside your comfort zone is the best way to find out what you like and don't like.

Dream a Little Dream

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream fragrance

I've always been a gal chasing dreams. Ever since I was younger, I've been a goal digger -- listing out my dreams one by one and crossing them off, line after line. I'll admit that sometimes I get caught up in trying to make my dreams come true and forget to enjoy the journey that goes along with it. Luckily, sometimes there are outside signs that find you and remind you that the journey to the dream is worth slowing down for.

Nothing New

pancakeSTACKER blog x Aeropostale

Nothing new over here! Okay, with the exception of this top I just picked up from Aeropostale, but the rest of the pieces are just some good ole closet faves. The jeans - I'm a bit bummed I can't wear them into the office, but man, do I love wearing them on the weekends! I think they're currently my most loved pair of distressed jeans. And, I find that the more that I wear them, the more comfortable they become (but that's not all that surprising). This camo jacket has been loved to the moon and back - I can't get enough of it. I dressed up my casual look with some gold jewels - just enough to give it some extra spark. Now, looking at these photos makes me wish for the weekend! Almost there, guys...almost there!

Marvelous Maxi

pancakeSTACKElog x Pink Blush Maxi Dress x Aeropostale Denim Vest

I've worn this maxi more than a handful of times since I received it, and it's not hard to see why. It's the perfect fit - loose at the tummy, flowy throughout the bottom, and tight at the top. I love that I can dress it up or down depending on the occasion. I love the many ways I can wear it - I've belted it, tied a knot at the bottom, and styled it with different outwear. Versatility is a sign of a great piece, if you ask me. I know you are all probably so tired of hearing me say this, but I can't help but repeat myself. This is another piece you'll definitely see over and over in posts to come - I can't wait to show you all the ways I wear it!

The Short Story

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Zara Shorts x Aeropostale Tank Denim Jacket

Awww yeah - stem season! First my romper and now these shorts - best believe there will be more stem shots filling your feeds soon. I picked up this pair of shorts from Zara ages ago. Seriously, I got them pre-rest-of-the-world-summer and knew that it'd be months before they'd get their time in the sun. I mean, what screams summer like hawaiian-print short shorts, right? Alas, the time has come and I hope to have done them a little bit of justice with this outfit I pulled together. I've been wearing this Aeropostale denim jacket and white mules everywhere and like I said in Monday's post, you'll be seeing more of them in posts to come. Can't help but love a good thing.

Romper Season

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Tobi Romper x Aeropostale Denim Jacket x Shoedazzle Mules x H&M Hat

You know I love a good romper. They're easy to wear, perfect for warm weather, and they're so adorable. Rompers are my favorite to wear to festivals, beach days, and afternoons in the park. I got this one from Tobi.com and absolutely love the print and the lace details. I paired it with my new denim jacket from Aeropostale - don't you just love the two-tone coloring? Finished off the look with my favorite shoes of the season - my white hot mules. You can bet you'll be seeing all of these pieces on rotation.

Orange You Glad

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Tobi Floral Dress x Aeropostale Camo Jacket x Will Leather Goods Tote x Jeffrey Campbell Wedges

That summer has officially set in San Francisco?? I am. With temperatures in the high 70's, I'm busting out all the short shorts, rompers, dresses, and maxis. These legs ain't gonna tan themselves! And when I find a strapless dress, it's even better - no tanlines, y'all. But, if we're being honest, in all my days of dressing up, orange has never been a color I've reached for first. (Well, unless you count Orange Fridays at the ballpark.) But, when I saw this orange frock on Tobi.com, I knew it had to be in my closet. So, all in all, this dress is a complete win: new color, perfect for the sun, and no risk of wonky tan lines. Sold.

pancakeLEFTOVERS: August

pancakeSTACKER Blog x pancakeLEFTOVERS

August has always been a special month for the bloggy - did you know that this August marks four years of pancakeSTACKER? Imagine that. Never would I have thought that my blog would be what it is today. Blogging has always been much more than just sharing photos of my outfits and the latest food I'm stuffing my face with. Along the way, I've made some true homies, worked with some amazing brands, gained some solid career experience, and, of course, learned more about myself and the kind of person I want to be. It goes without saying (but I'll say it for the record) that this blog would be nothing without all the support that I'm lucky enough to have from all my supporters. I guess you can say that this edition of pancakeLEFTOVERS is a pretty special. It truly was a great month - seriously. But, before we look forward to alllll the good things to come in September, let's take one more look back at the one that came before. Here we go.

Then you must remember the episode in which he makes a quick trip to SF and stops by this seafood lover's paradise, right? Well, long before that episode aired, I had this place on my list. I'm a hugeee seafood fanatic: I see food, I eat it! Corny jokes aside, if you haven't heard of this place and you're looking for a spot to grab some fresh seafood, put this one on your list.

Black Basics

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Zara Silk Skirt x Kate Spade Crossbody x Guess Heels

Okay, guys. You know I love you because I'm sharing a post of me with my hair au-naturale. More and more as my tresses reach longer lengths, I've tried harder to give them a break from the heat. While most days my hair is actually in its curly state, I prefer to straighten my mane to make it more manageable (until I regain my pre-hair cut length). Although my hair is almost always curly behind-the-screen (see what I did there?), I feel more comfortable heading to events and snapping blog photos with my straight hair. Nevertheless, once in a while, it's good to get out of your comfort zone. Now, don't be confused - I love my naturally curly hair. But, I can't wait until it hits just an inch or two more of growth. Anyhoo, enough about the hair, time to talk about the 'fit. Wore this simple number to dinner with Veuve (remember Friday's post?). Jen graciously snapped a few photos of me before we walked in and were dined off our feet. To see more of my dinner apparel, click below.

Food Friday: Veuve Clicquot #VCTasting at Namu Gaji

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Veuve Clicquot x Namu Gaji x #VCTasting

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of dining at Namu Gaji for a private Veuve Clicquot tasting. It was an evening filled with Clicquot-yellow and lots and lots of bubbly! Veuve Clicquot Champagne Specialist, Francois Hurtel hosted the tasting and walked us through four rare vintages including a Vintage Blanc 2004, Non-Vintage Rosé, Vintage Rosé 2004, and Clicquot Demi-Sec. It was such a treat to take part in such a memorable evening. Prior to the event, Namu Gaji was on my foodie list of places to try out, so I was ecstatic to finally cross that one off the list. Okay, but enough small talk - let's get to the food, shall we?

'90s Boy Band

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Indigo Rein Jeans x Aeropostale Tee x Steven by Steve Madden Booties

There are some days in which you get dressed and ready to go, walk out the door and realize shortly after that you look like you're part of a '90s boy band (or "My So-Called Life" - the angst, man). But you continue on and own it because who didn't love the '90s? NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees - I definitely could have passed for one of their groupies. But that's okay. Ripped jeans, flannel shirts, burnout tees, and booties. Make the mental note that if you put together that combo of things, you will run the same risk. Prepare to be utterly cool.

Alyssa Nicole Fall '14 "Still Cold" Collection Preview

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Alyssa Nicole x Still Cold

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Alyssa Nicole Fall 2014 collection preview, which took place on FIDM's beautiful rooftop deck. True to San Francisco's nature, the Karl the Fog came rolling in just as the models started walking out. And, although it made for a chilly evening, nothing better could have set the mood for the show. This season, the line was filled with deep blues, inspired by coldness and the stars. The line, appropriately named, "Still Cold" was Alyssa's interpretation of fragility. While I've loved all of Alyssa's past lines, I can't tell you all enough how much I loved this one. As soon as the models starting lining up in tweed and soft wool, I knew this was Alyssa's best collection yet. I can only dream of wearing those perfectly structured pencil skirts to meetings! But enough about what I think. Scroll through to see all of Alyssa's beautiful pieces and more scenes from the evening.

Be Sure To Wear Some Flowers In Your Hair

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Yellow Lace Top x Soludos x Lucca Couture Skirt

Jenny and I shot together one chilly Sunday afternoon and wanted to try something different. I love, love flowers (what girl doesn't, right?). So, while certain blooms are in season, I just have to take advantage. I've seen so many beautiful bougainvillea arches in my neighborhood and have always wanted to shoot with them. They're alluring in the simplest way. Their color, their delicate nature, and the tiny treasures left behind once they've fallen and dried - it's all so captivating to me. So, when we saw this archway taking over a neighbor's garage, it was too tempting not to trespass...oops.

Outside Lands 2014: Day Three + Video Recap

pancakeSTACKER Blog x San Francisco Outside Lands Music Festival 2014

We made it to day three of Outside Lands. (Missed day one or two?) So while day one's weather was so-so and day two's weather was miserably cold, day three's weather was surprisingly sunny (so sunny that I got a tan!). Wish I had known that the weather was planning to warm up because I dressed like I was ready for another foggy evening with Karl. Day three was much more relaxing and filled with lots and lots of food (which you will soon see when you scroll through the snaps). Aside from the ramen burgers, mac and cheese, and sweet potato tots, I also had the pleasure of seeing my favorite act - Flume. Flume was by far my favorite set of all three days. (No surprise there - remember Coachella?) I had no problem dancing in my Restricted "Country" boots to the entirety of his set! To see the aforementioned ramen burger and more, scroll through for more photos and my final recap video!

Outside Lands 2014: Day Two

pancakeSTACKER Blog x San Francisco Outside Lands Music Festival 2014

Day two of Outside Lands was nothing short of amazing. It was the coldest day out of the three (whomp, whomp), but I didn't let that stop me from frolicking around in my maxi and midriff. Those who follow me on Instagram might know that I also teamed up with Restricted Footwear this year. Restricted Footwear was so gracious in equipping me with my dancing shoes for all three days of the fest. (You might remember the brand from my time at Coachella!) And, they even let me share the wealth with three lucky ladies, all of whom won three pairs of festival footwear! On day one I wore my "Westside" booties (as seen in yesterday's post). But what about day two? Scroll through to see my snaps!

Outside Lands 2014: Day One

pancakeSTACKER Blog x San Francisco Outside Lands Music Festival 2014

Another Outside Lands festival has come to an end, and boy, am I having withdrawals. It's no secret that I am an avid festival-goer. I love the free-spirited feelings, the loud music, the dancing-with-no-inhibitions, and the good, good vibes. There's nothing that music can't heal, so imagine three days of non-stop, back-to-back jams! This year, I was so very excited to partner up with my pals at Chictopia to give followers a look at Outside Lands through the eyes of an true Bay Area native. From the fashion and art to the music and food, I tried to capture it all for my Instagram-takeover. If you didn't catch all my snaps on Instagram, fear not - I've got dayssss worth of posts to catch you up, starting with this one.

Behind The Scenes: LeTote Video Shoot

pancakeSTACKER Blog x LeTote x Rob Schanz Photography
Photos and Video by: Rob Schanz

Remember Monday's post where I said August was full of some super sweet stuff? Get ready for sweet stack number one. Last week, I had a chance to work with LeTote on a fun video project. It's been a while since I've done video, but boy, do I love it. We shot around Noe Valley (a neighborhood I need to revisit) and I styled a couple of looks from the new items in at LeTote, including the Rocky Vintage Ringer Tee (pictured above). I showed this video to my gal pal, Alyssa and she said, "I have never seen a video so true to anyone's real life." Videographer and photog, Rob Schanz basically captured my inner self - a foodie-loving and Instagram-aholic, smiling Stacker. Check out these photos from our shoot and be sure to press play when you get to the video!

pancakeLEFTOVERS: July

Ah, August - where did you come from? July flew by and August came out of no where. I can't even believe that Outside Lands is this weekend! Speaking of, any of you going? (I, for one, cannot wait to see Flume kill it on stage again. He was a dream at Coachella!) Ah, I digress (but you should know there are some gooood things cooking up for that, so do keep an eye!). Before we get on to another beautiful month (the month that marks four years of blogging over here at pancakeSTACKER, btw), let's take a quick look at the memories that made up July. Shall we?

Barneys New York SF x Givenchy Beauty Event

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Barney's NY x Givenchy
All photos by: Melissa de Mata

I recently hosted an event at Barneys New York SF in partnership with Givenchy. It was an evening filled with makeovers and some of my closest blogging buddies. I tried out a darker nude lip, something I wouldn't normally put on myself, but loved that I was able to experiment with colors outside my comfort zone. It was even more fun to watch each gal transform and take on a new look -each look was different from the one before.

look up challenge

When it's time for me to unwind, and more importantly, unplug, I like to do things for me - read a book, take a yoga class, buy some fresh flowers, get a mani, or just go outside and enjoy the day. It's tough to unplug, especially when you work full time in social media and then run a blog, but it's also really refreshing and freeing. So when smartwater asked me to take part of its "look up" challenge, I couldn't be more on board. Whether it's for a whole weekend, or even just ten minutes long, smartwater is asking us to take a break from tech, head outside, and look up at the world around us.

White Hot

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Twice

When I first put on this dress, I felt like a cross between a Grecian goddess (hey, this is my fantasy world, okay?) and Daenerys Targaryn, The Dragon Queen from Game of Thrones. Don't ask why; it's just how I felt. But after adding a splash of leopard, a dash of denim, and a bold black hat, I felt more like me - Chandamheer Stacker. A great maxi is versatile and can take you to different world with just the right accessory. So, should I want to channel my inner Dragon Queen in the future, I've got the perfect maxi dress to do so in, all thanks to Twice.

Beauty Bites: Tried & True (Love)

Oh hey, oh hey! It's time for another round of Beauty Bites. It's been a while since my last Beauty Bites post (this I know), but I finally had a chance to sit down and get thoughtful. This week, I thought I'd share a couple things that I'm either still trying out, or have tried and loved. I'm actually really excited to do this post and plan to do at least one of these types a month. Hopefully you guys will love this post, too! So let's get to it, shall we?

Yes Way, Crochet

pancakeSTACKER Blog x LeTote Crochet Top x Zara White Crochet Skirt x Dolce Vita Leopard Sandals

Black and white and crochet times two. Sometimes the best summer staples are the simplest ones. I've been pretty obsessed with my LeTote subscription - this is only my second tote, but the goodies in them are always right on point. This black crochet top is no exception. It was the perfect compliment to my new white crochet skirt that I picked up from Zara. Wore this number to that delicious, delicious taco dinner with Melissa!

Food Friday: Padrecito

Padrecito 901 Cole Street San Francisco, CA 94117

Ah, yes - a new Food Friday post to feast your eyes on! A couple weekends ago, I dined at Cole Valley's Padrecito with my fave photog friend, Melissa. We caught up over delicious drinks, lots and lots of guacamole, and the tastiest tacos in town. Let me start off by saying Padrecito has been on my list for some time. Back in 2013, I eagerly awaited its opening. Having dined at Mamacita many a time, I couldn't wait for this gem to often. So, it's embarrassing that I never found the time to visit the restaurant once it finally did open. Still, as the saying goes, better late or never. Was it worth the wait? You betcha.

The Haircut

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Haircut x Redbook Magazine

Remember a couple months ago when I shot these photos and hinted at something special? It took all my might not to spill the beans, but alas, I finally can. I chopped off my hair not too long ago and while it may have seemed like a routine haircut, there was something brewing beneath the surface. I loved (LOVED) my long locks. I loved them so much that it was only going to take something big to make me cut 'em off. Well, something big happened...

pancakeLEFTOVERS: June

You guys. It's July. We're halfway done with the year, which is bonkers, right? June was a splendid month - slower than May, which was quite alright with me, but still busy enough to keep me going. I had a handful of fun projects I got to work on, had more "me" time (which is always welcomed with open arms), and got to catch up with some great people. Looking to July, I'm excited to keep going; I have another handful of projects and am really excited for more good things to come. But, before we get ahead of ourselves and start chatting about this brand new month, let's slow it down and take a look at some of the sticky sweet moments that made June great. Without further ado, here's another helping of pancakeLEFTOVERS: June-style.

Sticky Sweet Summer Staples with Twice Clothes

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Twice

The Fourth may be over, but I'm still feeling festive! I decided to rock out in my red, white, and blue one more time and found the perfect wrap dress to do so in, thanks to Twice. Twice, based here in San Francisco, is a site where you can sell your new or gently-loved clothes, or buy pieces for a fraction of the price. If you know me, you know that I love to shop on a budget, so Twice definitely works in my favor. Another thing I love about Twice is that you're able to get some pretty unique pieces - like this wrap dress! The print and braided belt really drew me in - I love what it does for my waistline, ha.

Yes To Mules

pancakeSTACKER Blog x Aeropostale Jeans x Shoedazzle Mules

I was originally going to get up my June pancakeLEFTOVERS post, but truth be told, the week got away with me, so I'm going to use the long weekend to catch up. So, as a substitute, here are some quick outfit shots featuring my latest obsession: my new mules. I never thought I could pull off wearing the trend. Mules, birks, slipper sandals - they're all on my "TBD" list. But as of this week, I can successfully move over mules to the "yes" list. I ordered these babies for $10 (yes, you read that right) and I imagine I will be wearing them over and over and over again.
