I've always been a gal chasing dreams. Ever since I was younger, I've been a goal digger -- listing out my dreams one by one and crossing them off, line after line. I'll admit that sometimes I get caught up in trying to make my dreams come true and forget to enjoy the journey that goes along with it. Luckily, sometimes there are outside signs that find you and remind you that the journey to the dream is worth slowing down for.
One sunny Saturday afternoon, I made my way over to Union Square to check out the launch event for Marc Jacobs' Daisy Dream fragrance. The afternoon couldn't have been more perfect - the sun was shining (I got a serious tan from lounging on the cloud couches at the event!) and there was free gelato to cool off with (you know I can't resist a snack!). While there, I also to sample the new fragrance, which I found to be light, airy and fresh. My weekends always seem to be so jam-packed with events, meetings, foodie dates - you name it. So, spending some time in the sun was a much-welcomed change.
Before leaving the event, I was reminded to check out the Daisy Dream Capsule online, where users could create their own virtual dream capsules with photos that best exemplify their own hopes and goals. Once I had some down time, I headed to the site to create mine, which I filled with dreams of traveling, writing, and living in the city that never sleeps. The cool thing is that in a year, Marc Jacobs will send my dream capsule back to me - let's see what I'll accomplish in a year's time, you guys!
Marc Jacobs is even offering weekly prizes for those who create and submit their own Dream Capsule online. Should you need some inspiration while creating yours, perhaps you can find it while listening to this curated song station inspired by the new Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs, or by watching the video, below. Don't forget to check out the new fragrance, in stores now!
