Who would have thought that the holiday season would get here so quickly? I swear one minute we were in Indian summer mode and now all of a sudden here we are preparing for the winter. However, I will say that one thing I love about this time of year is how cozy everything gets. Chunky knits, wool coats, fuzzy sweaters and scarves -- all things I very much look forward to snuggling up in. I have to admit that I do the summer far better than I do the winter, but thanks to Nordstrom Rack, I was able to stock up on some cold-weather essentials without breaking the bank.

Maybe it's the fact that we don't see a lot of snow here in SF that makes me yearn for whites during the winter, or maybe I'm just a little bit of a rule breaker (no whites after Labor Day? Says who?), but either way, I found some great options while searching through the aisles at my local Nordstrom Rack. First off, I snagged these Citizens of Humanity ankle skinnies for a ridiculously good price - so good, there was no way I could pass them up. Their sleek look was a no-brainer for my upcoming holiday parties. I paired them with this deliciously cozy knit sweater vest from Joan Vass. I opted for a size up to help grant me a little extra forgiveness after all the holiday meals (ha!), but really, I just love that oversized look when it comes to chunky knits. I couldn't get over the details - the side buckles and front kangaroo pockets? Amazing.
Finally, as soon as I saw this Theory wool coat, I knew it had to be mine. The caramel-colored hue caught my eye from a mile away, so I bee-lined through the aisle just to grab it. It is the coat for everything from a night out on the town to the perfect present for a gal pal. I mean who wouldn't want to get this under the tree? So, whether you're looking for a little something-something for friends and family, or you're just looking for that perfect winter-white ensemble to wow 'em at your office holiday or family holiday party, look no further than Nordstrom Rack. You'll stay stylish and impress them with your gift-giving skills without having to break the bank.
