Beauty Bites: #zeninthebu with derma e

Ah, summer, you sweet, sweet thing. To say it's been a chill summer would be somewhat of a stretch. I've been putting in several hours at the office and all of my vacation time has been saved up for the last quarter of the year. Luckily for me, I was able to skip town for a few days to join derma e for their #zeninthebu Malibu escape. If you know me, then you know I love the sun - combine that with hours of yoga, beach time, poolside tanning, swimming, delicious (and healthy!) eats, massages and flower crowns, and you've got yourself a very, very happy girl.

For those who are unfamiliar, derma e is a natural beauty brand that's 100% vegan and cruelty-free. Each and every derma e product is paraben-free, phthalate-free, GMO-free, gluten-free, sodium lauryl sulfate-free, petrolatum-free, mineral oil-free and dye-free. In other words, it's not just good for the skin, it's great for the earth. I was introduced to the brand last holiday season when they sent me their Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask, which has become a staple in my exfoliating routine.

#zeninthebu was a two-day event that embodied the good for the skin, good for the body, good for the earth spirit of the brand. We ate nothing but vegan food and healthy snacks, reenergized and renewed ourselves with massages and facials, and kept our bodies moving with paddling boarding in the ocean and hours of blissful yoga. It was exactly what I needed to destress and slow down. Special thanks to derma e for inviting me and all the lovely partner brands who kept the activities and the food flowing, including Prana, yoga by Shayna Hiller, Health-Aid Kombucha, Rouge and Fox, The Organic Gypsy and Paddlesurf Outlet Shop.
