Simple and Easy

pancakeSTACKER blog x Distressed Boyfriend Jeans x MinkPink Jacket x Steve Madden

Simple attire is my favorite. A white tee, some distressed denim, a pair of comfy sandals, pulled together with the best subtle, but standout jacket? I'm sold. Wore this out to a lunch one beautiful day in the city. It was my first time officially meeting photog, Jenny - we chatted ideas, got to know one another and then stepped outside to snap a couple photos. I love the lighting and the simplicity of the photos, don't you? The best part is that we had to have snapped these in 15 minutes or less. I got together with Jenny again this past weekend to shoot more looks and I am just too excited to share them all. Happy (sorta) Monday, y'all! Hope you enjoy the short work week!

All The Leaves Are Brown

pancakeSTACKER blog x Threadsence x Steve Madden x Royal Mint

I knew winter was bound to find its way to California. The last couple of days have been filled with gusty winds and nonstop showers. Not bad considering we desperately needed some rain, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the sun. Rain is also a big no-no for shoots outside, but luckily for me, I got some snaps before the wet weather rolled on in.

Seeing Spots

pancakeSTACKER blog x Forever 21 Flats x Crossroads Trading Co. Leopard Sweater x Indigo Rein Distressed Boyfriend Jeans

My favorite combination as of late? Distressed boyfriend jeans, an oversized knit sweater, and comfy flats. You've seen these jeans a lot, and you'll continue to see even more of 'em. I haven't found a pair of distressed jeans I love as much as these loose-fitting lovelies. The best part is I found them somewhere I wouldn't have thought to look - Macy's M Style Lab. Only goes to show that you find the best things, in overlooked places!

pancakeLEFTOVERS: January

It's been a while since I've done one of these posts, but I thought I'd bring it back - mostly because I miss them and hope you do too. I look back at January in a bittersweet way. The beginning was a little rough and I feel as though I lost my way, but after a few heartwarming talks with some good people, midway through the month, I finally felt like the old me (or the "new" me?). Sometimes blogging is tough. If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that. Not many people will tell you that sometimes it's hard to go on, when things outside of your control take place. But, one thing I'm thankful for is having really good people in my life who support me and help me find my way when I veer off my path. This past January, I threw out the old and welcomed in the new. Both literally and figuratively. Somewhat of a cryptic message, I suppose, but let's just say I'm welcoming in all the positive energy headed my way. So long story short - I didn't start off January in the bang-like manner I would have liked, but better late than never, right? pancakeLEFTOVERS, for those who are unfamiliar, is my way of looking back at the past month in a way that helps me look forward to the new one. Below are some snaps that you may or may not have seen, all of which summarize the month behind us. Enjoy.

LookMazing's Who Wore It Best Style Challenge!

pancakeSTACKER blog x Lookmazing x Banana Republic Glenda Scarf
In San Francisco, a scarf is one of the many accessories you will grow to love. In fact, scarves are starting to rival my collection of beanies for a coveted spot in my closet. Truth be told, there's no way I could choose between the two because I. need. them. both.
