When it comes to packing for trips, I've always tried to get everything I need into one carry-on and tote bag. Past years have taught me that no one wants to be that person with the huge suitcases trying to navigate from point A to point B. So, along with cutting down on my clothes, I've also tried to be very smart about my makeup stash. Luckily for me, skincare and beauty products are so tiny, I can always get away with packing jusssst a little more than I should. But, for those quick weekend trips and shorter summer getaways, there's a few things you will always find in my bags.
One thing I've been using regularly since I first tried it is bareMinerals' Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer - it's got SPF, which helps me cut out a step when I'm prepping my skin. And, a big reason I love it (especially for vacations), is because it makes my skin look picture-perfect.
Another thing I swear by for travel is makeup removing wipes - I love cleansers, but sometimes when you're on the go, there's nothing easier than a cleansing wipe. I actually really like Olay's Daily Cloths - they're thick and get the job done.
For the most part, I like to keep my makeup light - give me some eyeliner and mascara and it's a done deal. Right now, I can't get enough of Stila's Smudge Stick Waterproof Liner and Benefit's They're Real Mascara. And I cannot (I repeat) cannot leave home without a red lippie. I like Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Fiery. And, because I'm a crazy lip balm person, I always make sure to have an EOS ball in my bag. Right now, I'm digging the "sweet mint" flavor.
So there you have it - my super low key beauty bag necessities. What's in yours?
