Coachella, my long lost lover. How I waited so long to reunite with you. Coachella is one of those things you have to experience to understand. I never thought of myself to be a flower child by nature until I stepped foot on those desert grounds. Now, three-years running, I don't know what else I'd be. Coachella for me is about the music - the good vibes, the good feels, the freedom to just be. Sure the fashion part of it is amazing too (I mean who doesn't want to prance around in fringe, crochet, shorts, feathers, you name it...)? I sure as hell do. Flower crown? CHECK. But, when it comes down to it, I'm there for the feeling that is Coachella. It's unexplainable. Maybe I'm a little too in love with it, but if you've gone, you would be (and likely are) too.
I was lucky enough to attend this year thanks to Madison LA and joyfully danced around ALL weekend long thanks to fancy festival footwear by Restricted Footwear. (You can find my fancy festival footwear here and here!) While most people will tell you that weekend one is where it's at, I say that Coachella is Coachella. I was just happy to make it out this year. It was different not attending all the weekend one parties, but truth be told, it felt less rushed and more focused on the music. That being said, I spent less time snapping photos (whomp whomp) and more time dancing. Like really, really dancing, you guys. I seriously danced my ass off. Danced so hard that at one point I thought I dislocated my shoulder, hahaha. But in all seriousness, I had the time of my life making new friends, smiling, and just being free.
I attempted to sort-of take some video, but let's just say my video skills need some major refining. In any case, I've also included a short little snippet that you can all enjoy. Should you want to see more of my majorly amateur video skills, download my new favorite video app, VideofyMe (which is slowly helping me refine my "skillz") and check out my snaps.
I cannot thank Madison LA enough for giving me the chance to attend the desert dream this year & my loves at Restricted Footwear for keeping my feet on point.
