Beauty Bites: Tried & True (Love)

Oh hey, oh hey! It's time for another round of Beauty Bites. It's been a while since my last Beauty Bites post (this I know), but I finally had a chance to sit down and get thoughtful. This week, I thought I'd share a couple things that I'm either still trying out, or have tried and loved. I'm actually really excited to do this post and plan to do at least one of these types a month. Hopefully you guys will love this post, too! So let's get to it, shall we?

Ole Henriksen Truth To Go Wipes

Every gal needs a go-to cleansing wipe. I've tried my fair share - Yes To, Ponds, Olay, La Fresh, and even Costco face cleansing wipes. Some I've loved, others I've hated. A good cleansing wipe is gentle, wipes well, and has the right amount of product and moisture. I sometimes like to lightly run my wipes under cold water to give them a little extra washing power. But, truth be told, a good wipe doesn't need that on the first use.

The wipes were super gentle on my skin, had a lovely citrus scent to them, and got ALL of my makeup off with just a couple swipes. The packaging claims that the wipes are age defying, but that is yet to be determined. Would definitely get these again!

Luster Premium White Power White Toothpaste

I know it seems a bit strange to talk to you guys about toothpaste, but really, who doesn't use toothpaste? There was a time in my life where I did not drink coffee. That period of time no longer exists, and I drink upwards to three cups a week (which is a lot for me, guys!). Having said that, I've noticed my pearly whites are white no more, and that is a no-no-no in my book. So, I've started using Luster Premium White Power White toothpaste.

It's a deep stain remover, with fluoride, which helps coat teeth to prevent against cavities. While I'm not a big fan of fluoride (which is more of a personal issue tied back to dark days at the dentist), I appreciate the work it does on my teeth. Since I just started using it, I can't yet say if there's been a change in the color of my teeth, but I will be sure to come back to this post to give it an update after a week or two. So far, I'm optimistic it will get the job done.

Bumble and Bumble Bb Straight Blow Dry

Ever since I cut my hair, I've been straightening it a bit more often than not. Since I want to get the most out of each hair-straightening run, I'm always looking for products that will make the process easier, while making my hair more manageable. I recently tried a mini sample of Bumble and Bumble's Straight Blow Dry cream and will definitely be purchasing a full-sized tube.

The cream is light and airy and makes my hair SO easy to straighten. I put a dollop in my hair before I blow dry and then I add an additional dollop once my hair is dry and ready for my next hot tool. My hair comes out with a nice sheen and my strands end up fairly soft to the touch. I do add a heat protectant before blow drying and using my hair straightener, just to make sure I've got all my bases covered.

Okay... those are my three mini bites for today! Are you guys using anything new? Anything I should try? Let me know - would LOVE to hear about some of your beauty discoveries!
