PSA: Sweet Ideas for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and I don't know about you, but I'm super into a day dedicated to love. Always have been and always will be. I know, you're probably thinking, "Well, sure - it's easy to be into Valentine's Day when you're in a relationship!" Okay, fair. But, there were many years when I was a solo Stacker, and even then, I still loved Valentine's Day. I'd buy myself flowers, chocolates and watch romcoms in my pjs, whilst drinking wine, or I'd have a girls day with my gal pals. When I was single, I'd toast to myself for being an independent woman doing the damn thing. And honestly, not much has changed. I'm still an independent woman doing the damn thing, celebrating the day of love, just this time with someone who holds a great piece of my heart. Our plans for this year are still up in the air, but I've got some wine + chocos stashed away just in case we decide to do date night in.

For those of you who are also still in planning limbo, read on for two ways to make the day even sweeter.

First up, if you could use a bottle (or two/for two), don't miss out on snagging this wine and chocolate duo from Cameron Hughes and Christopher Elbow Chocolates! I had the pleasure of attending a tasting at the Cameron Hughes HQ last month, and learned all about company and its wines. Some of you may be familiar with the brand from none other than Costco. Super tasty wines for an affordable price? Count me in. For Valentine's Day, CH is doing a 9 piece Christopher Elbow truffle box sampler and two bottles of wine for $51. Not bad, huh? Let me just tell you, that the chocolates are AMAZING - my favorite one is that yellow one, yonder in that box, and the orange one (up front - can you see it?). Honestly, they're all good and it's a miracle that I haven't eaten the box to myself.

In the same vein, if you and your boo or pal-entine don't want to stay in, but would rather attend an event where you can learn about how to taste wines and pair them with chocolates, then I highly, highly suggest checking out Corner 103's Chocolate and Wine pairing event for this Saturday, 2/11. Some of you may have already seen my Instagram photos touting the wonderful experience I had at Corner 103, but I honestly can't tell you enough how educational and fun the tasting was. I'm writing up a full review & will share more soon, but in the meantime, I hope you'll take my word if you're looking for a fun Valentine's Day themed event to check out. Tickets are $85 for a 5-course wine-paired lunch with chocolate! Go for me, because I won't be able to make it, but wish I could!

So, there you have it - two sweet ideas for yourself or your sweetie! Happy early day of love, my friends!
